100% Tax Deduction for businesses

100% Tax Deduction for businesses

Did you know that buying art to be displayed in your business can be a 100% tax deduction immediately claimed at the end of this financial year.

As part of the Instant Asset Write Off Scheme, up to $150,000 can be claimed for purchases of artworks for your office if purchased before the end of this financial year.

The ATO classifies artworks owned by businesses as both investments and depreciating assets. As their useful life is determined as 100 years they are subject to a very low rate of depreciation - usually around 1% per year. Under normal circumstances you could only claim 1% of the cost of an artwork as a tax deduction.

As artworks qualify under the Instant Asset Write-off Scheme, it is now possible to claim a complete deduction of up to $150,000 for artworks purchased by a small to medium-sized business for their premises, subject to four criteria.

The artwork must be:

• Tangible
• Capable of being moved
• Purchased principally for display in a business premise; and
• Not be trading stock.

If you have a small business, NOW is a great time to improve your work space with art.👌😀💚

And that’s a wrap......

And that’s a wrap......

The first of what will become a bi-annual product release has ended. Ordering is now closed for the first line of products released. The next release will be in September, with new products, new designs, and even Christmas items.😀🎉
Like the release that just ended, there will be a 4-6 week delivery turnaround, making September the perfect month to release Christmas items.

You're probably wondering what this is all about?

Over the past year, I have learned a lot about how I work, including the time, focus and attention that goes into whatever I am working on. I discovered that a lot of my time was going into creating products. As you know, my first passion is art, and my second is creating anything from that art. I love it, and I love sharing it with you. Still, moving forward, I will spend more time on creating art so that when March or September comes around, there are many special items and offers to choose from.

I love the products I have created so far, but now I will have more time to source different things so you don't repeatedly see the same products. I want to make March and September releases a special art event.

Tonight is the night the Flash Sale ends. Once that's over, my fine art prints and canvas prints will be my website's main focus until the next product release.

I have a new art collection coming out in June, and in-between now and then, I will still be uploading artwork I'm currently working on. I’m not going anywhere 😉

I hope this all makes sense. If you have any product ideas you would like to see me produce, message me, and I will see what I can do. 💖🙏💖

NEW FINE ART COLLECTION

NEW FINE ART COLLECTION

A few months ago, while binge eating my favourite chocolate-coated Lemon Myrtle Macadamia nuts (thank you @chocolategrove) I began thinking about Australian Native food plants. Being unsure of exactly what was out there, I did a quick google search and discovered a long list of Australian “Bushfoods” I didn’t know anything about. I had always associated Bushfood a.k.a Bushtucker with Witchetty Grubs, Honey Ants, or Kangaroo, and not plants. Silly of me, I know!

Wanting to know more, I read all about the different plants species, where they grow, their botanical names, indigenous names, their uses, and nutritional value. Filling my mind with so much wonderful information made me feel inspired and gave me the idea for NOURISHED: Australian Bush Food Collection.

Food-producing plants have been nourishing life in Australia for thousands of years and I thought there was no better way to honour that gift than by doing art. With a diverse array of native spices, nuts, fruits and vegetables to choose from, I finally selected 12 subjects to give my attention. The plants I chose appealed to me the most for their beautiful foliage, flowers and fruit.

It surprised me to learn that in many cases Australian Bushfood far surpassed the nutritional value of fresh foods we buy in our supermarkets today. Why aren't these foods stocked in our supermarkets?

I am hoping my collection will help to create awareness of Australian Bush Foods and the benefits they provide us, and perhaps someday soon we will all be able to easily access them from our local stores. I have compiled a list below of companies/individuals doing their bit for Bush Foods in Australia.

I hope you enjoy viewing NOURISHED: Australian Bush Food Collection.
